CLOSET EDITS
If opening your closet is a daunting task every morning, this service is a perfect way to start working together. First we’ll organize your space by category and color while ensuring everything you love is accessible and seasonally relevant- this means taking away summer garments in the winter and moving bulky sweaters out during summer months, all while keeping the pieces that you wear year-round visible. Along the way we will donate the items you haven’t worn in years and others that are showing visible signs of wear. We will spend time pairing together outfits and tailor pieces that need minor adjustments, all while making a list of what’s missing.
This process can seem scary at first, but we will never get rid of sentimental pieces or anything you are on the fence about. Instead we discover colors that pair great with your skin tone and you’ll learn the colors, patterns and silhouettes that work best with your frame.
Jon E.
Chicago, IL
before:
Jon had a ton of space in his closet but wasn’t properly utilizing the layout. He enjoys working out and has a casual lifestyle, but all of his tees, hoodies and athletic gear were bunched on the shelves. It wasn’t a surprise he often times could not find what he was looking for.
after:
I truly couldn’t believe this was the same closet. We took the athleisure and moved it to a dresser in the bedroom which then left a lot of space to grab-and-go tops and showcase his shoe collection. His dress shirts and casual long sleeves are now hung and pressed which makes it easy to pack for work trips when they arise.
Mark H.
Boston, MA
before:
Mark hadn’t gone through his closet in over 15 years. As he was getting ready to retire, he needed to purge the items he hadn’t been wearing and more importantly, the ones that wouldn’t serve him in this new stage of life.
after:
We separated by category and what’s left are the items he absolutely loves. Best part: we donated 10 bags to Salvation Army!
Ryan R.
Dallas, TX
before:
Ryan is an attorney and has minimal time to get ready in the morning before running out the door. Dress shirts, suits, and sport coats were scattered all over and there was a shoe shelf too close to the entrance of his closet which limited accessibility to key pieces.
after:
His work attire is separated by category, color and style with his casual-wear in another section. We moved his shoes to a separate location which gives easier access to his entire wardrobe. After donating shirts from college, he now has less clutter and more inspiration for weekend outfit looks.
Matt H.
Chicago, IL
before:
While it may look organized, Matt had golf polos, t-shirts, button-downs and jackets all hung together. He golfs most days so we decided to move the tech items to another closet so this can be his work attire.
after:
Matt now knows what closet to reach in weather he’s heading to the office or the green. Button-downs are organized by color so it’s easy to match outfits for work and though the bottom portion can be worn for golf, these are mostly cotton polos & long sleeves for casual Friday.
Brooke L.
Rochester Hills, MI
before:
Brooke relocated to Michigan from Chicago, had a baby within the first year and now is in transition to a new house! Her closet was consumed by multi-color hangers and a hodge podge of garments in no particular order. With an upcoming move she needed to organize and purge before packing up.
after:
We separated by category and what’s left are the items he absolutely loves. Best part: we donated multiple bags to Salvation Army!
Stephanie Z.
Parker, CO
before:
Stephanie’s clothes were everywhere in no particular order. It took her extra time to find outfits because there were no categories and she felt like she was always running around in circles.
after:
Her pants, skirts, jackets and blouses were separated by category. Each item has its own hanger so now they are easy to find!
Danielle H.
Chicago, IL
before:
Danielle had clothes pertaining to every season all out at once. She would often lose pieces since the garments were always on top of one another. It was hard deciding what to wear since there were too many options.
after:
We stored summer items (bathing suits, shorts, tanks, etc.) in soft bins under the bed so everything in view can be worn right now, this season. We also ensured every piece has its own hanger so she won’t lose another top again!

Anitra D.
Chicago, IL
before:
Anitra had every type of garment (blouses, pants skirts, dresses) on the main hanging bar when she could really benefit having them be separated by category. She didn’t originally have any shoe storage, but with a few clicks from the Container Store…
after:
Her shoes are now neatly lined up and it is much easier to pair outfits together when she can grab-and-go based on the color line-up!
