This matte gold chain is made from a hypoallergenic brass plated in a gold alloy which is coated with a mattifying top coat to give the chain a brushed look. The antique silver chain is made using hypoallergenic brass that has been electroplated with a clear coating to also appear with a brushed, antique look. Both are free from lead, nickel, cadmium and other materials that tend to irritate the crap outta your skin. Yay.
